Registered Posts: 238 | Solution The solution is that my ISP blocks external access to POP and IMAP mail servers so thats why i cant access it but other common solutions are the "my server requires authentification" check box is not ticked under servers tab in the account -> properties settings. ![]() ![]() bloody university connection ..... :@ ____________________ I'm MORGANISED are YOU? | ||||||

Max Plank Registered Posts: 13 | I imagine your ISP (who sound bloody poor) are just blocking outgoing packets heading for port 110 (POP3) to a server that's not the ISP's mail server. Either 1) Get a sensible ISP 2) Find a mail server running on a non-standard port 3) Tunnel or VPN to another box and spread the love from there 4) Get a web-based email client to connect to the POP3 server for you.
